I need help finding the name of a movie from the 80's or 90's maybe even 70's?

This movie has been a running joke in my family since i was a kid! my mom loves movies about outdoors so we rented this movie and i was a kid it was like between 1991 and 1997. the movie is about a teenager girl and i think her father and brother go on a camping trip the teenage girl runs off at one point and finds this bear and falls in love with the bear(this is an actually bear not a cartoon or man that was changed into a bear). i think she ended up doing stuff with the bear cuz i remember having my mom fast forward it. it was so weird we stopped watching it after a few minutes and ever since that movie we make fun of my mom when she picks a movie we tell her are you sure its not gonna be like the bear movie cuz shes picked some real winning movies after that. but does anybody know what movie im talking about?
